Recluse Horror # 17 - The Blackcoat's Daughter (2015) Darling (2015)

The knives are out in this episode of Recluse Horror, wherein Sam and The Recluse squabble over which of a director's movies are the least bad, assigning different sliding scales to the quality of the pieces in question. The Recluse rants about stealing and misusing material from better filmmakers and names Osgood Perkins as one of the emerging writer-directors that excites her the most.

Sam and Rec both lament the annoyance of watching a movie for the first time under the wrong circumstances and the affect this can have on developing a fair opinion. Sam also makes a suggestion for the new summer blockbuster versus film you never knew you wanted.

The movies discussed were:

The Blackcoat's Daughter (2015)
Darling (2015)

Music was "Resolute" by The Recluse.
