Recluse Horror #21 - The Call of Cthulhu (2005) The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)

Silent Sunday lives! Well, at least for tonight. In this episode, The Recluse and Sam discuss two works of fiction whose names are always mispronounced, The Call of Cthulhu and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Ever wondered the correct pronunciation of Cthulhu? The Recluse will tell you (and then continue to use the more common pronunciations for the rest of the episode), even though the filmmakers behind this 2005 adaptation of the book took the coward's way out of pissing people off by choosing to make it as a silent film.

Also discussed is the accuracy of Dracula adaptations to stage and film, fog effects, German Expressionism, sexy string beans, and Robert Smith from The Cure.

The movies discussed were:

The Call of Cthulhu (2005)
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)

Music was "Resolute" by The Recluse.
